For my Typography I class we had to choose a typeface and essentially dismantle it, reassembling it to focus on the key features of the type, i.e., stroke weight, serifs, vertical stress, etc, on a 6" x 6" grid. We could only use one character per square and couldn't repeat any of them.
I chose Didot which is a modern typeface known for its high contrast between thick and thin stroke weights, and unbracketed hairline serifs.
Created in Adobe Illustrator.
